PEOPLE’S RESPONSE NETWORK (PRN) MISSION & GOALS
Mission:
The Chicago People’s Response Network (PRN) is a multiethnic, multicultural intergenerational and racially diverse organization.
We are public workers, organizers, and activists.
Our mission is advocating for racial and social justice, equity, and fully funding all Chicago’s public, non-police, entities.
Goals:
- Build racial, class, gender, and neighborhood unity by organizing to democratize, rebuild and expand City of Chicago Services with Public, Union Jobs, based on equity-those communities with the greatest need receive the most resources.
- End Corporate Privatization of all city departments, agencies, jobs, buildings, and land including the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH), City Colleges of Chicago (CCC), Chicago Housing Authority (CHA), Chicago Park District, Chicago Public Library (CPL) Chicago Public Schools (CPS), Chicago Plan Commission and Chicago Transit Authority (CTA).
- All public agency governing boards: Chicago Board of Health (CBH), CCC, CHA, Chicago Park District, CPL, CPS, Chicago Plan Commission and CTA must be elected, by all Chicago residents 18 years and older, regardless of citizenship or legal status.
- Ensure all public funding of non-governmental organizations go to those led by people and boards who live in the communities of greatest need.
- Build Solidarity with All Oppressed Peoples & Nations
